LCA Message for Father's Day

June 15, 2008 –  On Father’s Day, Lung Cancer Alliance (LCA) expresses its admiration for and appreciation to fathers everywhere who have contributed enormously to the lives of their children, family and friends.  We celebrate their extraordinary impact and influence – and their devotion and daily sacrifice as indispensible anchors of certainly and strength.

We also honor fathers who have been affected by lung cancer.  To those we have lost, to those battling the disease and to those providing support, LCA renews its commitment to reversing the decades of stigma and neglect too long associated with the disease.  Just as fathers instill strength of purpose and character so to will we dedicate our efforts, in their honor, to provide better outcomes for our stakeholders.  Our fathers would expect nothing less.
